Moving On

It is very comforting to know that one is not alone when facing certain difficult life experiences. When you face something that throws you off balance, look for a support group for people that have faced or are currently facing what you are going through. It helps to be able to talk to someone about your problems especially, someone that knows exactly how you feel. I believe this is one of the benefits of being in a support group. I do not know the reason you may have against discussing your problems with someone especially a “stranger” you met in support group, but despite whatever reservations you may have, do not forget that you may be depriving yourself the opportunity to learn new things, including how to cope with whatever it is that you are going through or have experienced.
What we can control in this life is our reactions to things we face and not whether such undesirable circumstances can happen to us. Nobody in this life deserves to be fed with bad news, but disappointments are bound to happen every now and then, no matter how you guard against them. Your reaction determines whether you will continue to live a better life or whether your happiness and joy will be thrown away because of life’s disappointments. We should continue to be auspicious about life, but that shouldn’t make one to be reckless about planning for emergencies. In order to continuously grow in life, efforts should be made towards investing in your emotional well-being and this includes learning how to move on after a hurtful experience, learning how to forgive even when it doesn’t make sense to do so, and also learning how to look forward to a better tomorrow no matter how impossible that may appear to you. In life, experiences are bound to make us tougher or weaker, so your reaction to these experiences are as important as your reactions to every other thing in life. Toughen up, get back on your feet and keep striving to do your best, no matter how long a bad experience might be, one day, it will surely give way to some other desired outcomes.
As we go through this week, lets remember to drop off all baggage that may hold us back in our everyday life. Join a support group if necessary, and learn to draw in other positive energies around you. Have a fruitful week.

  1. Wow, this is wonderful.
I've learnt that joining a support group is one way of moving on.
Another important lesson is to get ready for mishaps because they are bound to come……
    More Grace ma'am.
