Life

It is very normal to feel disappointed by a betrayal, an unreciprocated gesture or just not getting what you have worked for. These disappointments though valid should only be a temporary emotion. When you allow this emotion to fester, it will degenerate to a situation where you may have to look for external help to become ok. So, keep your emotions in check and move on quickly from life’s disappointments. (You can see the video version of this here – https://youtu.be/5YmGSnQtSz0 )

An important point to note is that mourning or regretting past actions or consequences of bad decisions will not birth anything new. Yes, you may learn from your mistakes, but that is where it ends. Mourning your disappointment cannot birth new ideas, new developments, new relationships or anything at all. So, direct your energies into correcting your errors, trying out something new or discovering different ways of solving a problem. By this, your mind is engaged creating something that has the ability to give you a reward either in the present or in the future. Even if that expected reward doesn’t come, that activity or whatever it is you occupied your mind with, kept you busy and removed you from a bad emotional state.

Happiness is the best state of mind. Remember being happy is a choice. It does not mean you have everything going on for you. It simply means that you have chosen to be happy, recognizing and being content or joyful about the little things others may easily ignore. Learn to create your own happiness. I believe our creative spirit is better engaged when we are in a state of happiness. In other words, choose to be happy, allow past disappointments remain in the past and create the future you want!

Have a wonderful week!
