Keep hope alive.
It is very easy to cave into pressure. Pressure from unmet expectations, family, society, work etc. There is a need for you take a break, breath and just be good. (You can see the video version of this here- https://youtu.be/TpQ4Is-jNEI)
Setting goals and tasking oneself to produce one’s best can be that key success factor for some people, for some others, it can be a real source of pressure especially when the goals have not been met. Find a balance between working on your goals and managing your stress level in the course of pursing those goals.
One of the ways of managing your stress level especially when working on an important project is to take short breaks. Those short breaks can be used to pursue fun activities that helps you relax. You can also prepare your mind before the task that once you accomplish a certain milestone, you would take a break. The key is to know which one works better for you and apply that break.
Another point to note when dealing with unmet expectations or pressure from the society is to understand that people have been exactly where you are and were able to pull through. Find strength in this fact, it may also help to read the stories of other people who have been where you currently are, and how they dealt with that stage of their life. Not having what you desired or worked hard for can be truly frustrating, but instead of dwelling in this energy, look for other outlets to keep yourself happy. Keep your mind occupied with other useful tasks. Refocus your attentions in small things that matters like being kind, looking out for another person, being present for your family and friends. Above all, have a personal goal that you will never cower under pressure. So that if you feel yourself slowly slipping away, you can remember your personal goal and quickly work on yourself to be reinvigorated once again.
It’s a new week, do not allow past disappointments to keep you from enjoying the blessing of this week. Things will eventually get better. Keep hope alive!
