May you find all that your heart desires, may you truly receive all the good you have given out and may you be given your due. These are my wishes for everyone as we round up the year and begin the new year.
It is natural to feel a bit disappointed about the targets you set for this year, which did not come through, but remember: you started the year alive, and you are finishing it the same. This is something to be thankful for.
Although the year may be winding up in the next few days, this doesn’t mean you should consider the goals you set for this year as unachieved. If those goals are still important to you, continue to work on them. You can only truly label them as “unachieved” if you decide to abandon them.
Another point to note about this season is that it is the best time of the year to take a rest. These dreams and goals do not become abandoned just because you choose to take a much-needed break from your busy schedule. This is also a wonderful time to reconnect with family and friends—those whom the year’s busy pace may have prevented you from checking on.
Finally, it is a time for self-reflection. What did you not do right this year? What goals did you suddenly abandon because of the challenges you faced? It is time to really think things through so you can start the new year with better clarity and a clear strategy on how to do better.
